TEACHING ARTIST SPOTLIGHT! Welcome to another new TEACHING ARTIST SPOTLIGHT! Welcome to another new face. @racicanja Anja Racić is a Serbian actor, singer, dancer and writer. Last summer, Anja premiered her original solo show, Steps of Glory, for which she received two nominations at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Anja was recently seen in two different productions of The Tempest, with Shakespeare Center of LA and Antaeus Theater Company. Keep your eyes peeled for her film Cake in the festival circuit this winter. Education: Professional Conservatory at the Art of Acting Studio, Stella Adler NYC & Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts
TEACHING ARTIST SPOTLIGHT! Kila Packett (he/him) TEACHING ARTIST SPOTLIGHT! Kila Packett (he/him) is a hapa Hawaiian teaching artist, stage combat instructor, and associate director with LA Drama Club's Shakespeare Youth Festival.  Kila has performed at numerous Off-Broadway and regional theatres, notably The Mark Taper Forum, The Wallis, BAM, and Classic Stage Company. Television credits include: Grey's Anatomy, NCIS: Hawaii, Hawaii Five-0, This is Us, S.W.A.T., and 9-1-1. With over a decade of teaching experience, Kila has taught for the BELL Foundation, Columbia University Business School's Senior Executive Program, Columbia High School Institute, Classic Stage Company, Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum, STAR Education, Society Performers Academy, and Dr. Auma Obama's Sauti Kuu Foundation in Kenya. His article recounting LA Drama Club's work at Sauti Kuu was published in American Theatre. Kila is a co-author of the Off-Broadway hit, Unnatural Acts, for which he received a Drama Desk nomination. He is a proud fellow of the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center, head mentor for Young Storytellers, and co-producer for the LA-based concert, A Little New Music. He recently performed the role of Trigorin in, The Seagull, as well as co-directed, The Cherry Orchard, for The Chekhov Project at the South Pasadena Theatre Workshop. TEACHING ARTIST SPOTLIGHT! Welcome to the amazing TEACHING ARTIST SPOTLIGHT! Welcome to the amazing Alessandra! Alessandra Mañón is thrilled to be a part of the Shakespeare Youth Festival team! She is an LA based actor that works in theatre, film, and tv. At the moment Alessandra is playing Juliet for Backroom Shakespeare's production of Romeo and Juliet (info on next slide). She has previously performed with South Pasadena Theatre Workshop, Sacred Fools, Orange County Shakespeare, Austin Shakespeare, and ZACH Theatre. Her film & tv credits include Rich Kids, Vida, Queen of the South, Crazy Ex Girlfriend, Walker, and Murder Made Me Famous. I needed that!” They’re doing it one more time this afternoon at 1 pm - it’s free, the setting is lovely and idyllic and shady, and the show is fantastic!
