Many of Shakespeare’s plays employ the powers of supernatural creatures and events – magic was in the air during the time of Shakespeare! During our second week, Players will be digging into the mystery of these mysterious moments! !The performance will last approx 45 minutes, and will include scenes and choral pieces from Shakespeare’s plays.

For full location information, please email speak@shakespeareyouthfestival.com

If there is anyone who might have difficulty navigating the short walk, please let us know, so that we can make arrangements to assist them.

We will have blankets for seating, as well as a few camp chairs. If you have access to a lawn chair or camp chair, we would appreciate it if you could bring it, so that the chairs that we have can be used by those who don’t own one.

MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM
Friday, July 28 at 7 pm
Saturday,, July 29 at 1 pm
Location to be announced (watch this space!!)

Join us for our second annual Ren Week production! Our teen ensemble gathers on Monday, and begins rehearsal for a full Shakespeare production, which they will present on Friday and Saturday. As in Shakespeare’s day, the actors rehearse and perform outdoors, in daylight. This means that the actors can see the audience, making you an important part of the performance. Our play is mounted with just a few rehearsals; the actors will come to the first rehearsal already knowing their lines. Shakespeare’s troupe had no directors, and neither do we. Crafting the production was (and is) a collaborative effort, by a group of actors who (like us) had worked together many times, and shared a history.
